I just got a call from one of my sisters and she said that my other sister wants to have a family get together on the weekend!! Well, I'm game for that - should be fun to catch up with everyone!! This weekend I will be mostly... writing an assignment for university. There's been almost no sewing for me this year so far as I'm doing a part-time undergrad diploma in teaching adults, at the same time as part-time teaching in a local college and for a local adult education service part-time too. I've had terrible sewing withdrawal symptoms, but it's only another year after this one and it will have been worth it.
I would LOVE to have this little pile of wonderfulness waiting for me when I've finally finished.

We were going to be taking my son and some friends on their bikes round the local mountain bike trail, but he broke his arm falling off the swing yesterday, so we've had to postpone it.
Other than that, I think we'll have a lazy weekend, sorting out the garden, and I might do some crafty things :)

We have the most exiting plans: potty training our 3-year-old, paying some good friends a visit and attending a family celebration Sunday (exiting while having a not so willingly potty trained kiddo in a tow..)!

Well since the weekend is now gone, I'll tell you what I did... I managed to sew a skirt for my daughter and a dress-tunic for myself! I still can't believe it didn't end up as a UFO... thanks for the chance! lovely fabric as always...
This weekend I hope to actually get into my sewing room and do some sewing for the first time in weeks!
Well, I've just convinced my college-aged daughter, who's home for summer break, that she should let me sew her a party dress (she's 24). She's picked the pattern; I've picked the fabric; and this Mother's Day weekend I'll be sewing a muslim sample of the dress, just to get the fit right. And I'll be following you on FB! I will spend time with my children, my grand daughter, my golden retriever and work on my wonky stars and make a small zippered bag to use when out and about at work and need my keys, phone and coffee money.

This weekend I will be busy cooking as it is our turn to host "come dine with me" with our friends....but I really want to make time to start my first project on my brand new sewing machine - a shirt for my little boy :-) Love these fabrics, I am sure I could make lots of lovely things.
