A long overdue thank you!

Anyone out there still reading? I hope so, but I won't be surprised if not. I haven't posted in what seems like an age! Unfortunately the course of this pregnancy is not running very smoothly for me, (although thankfully baby is not affected by all the problems) and the last 5-6 weeks have been...well, difficult. To say the least. And sore, so very sore. With still another 6 weeks to go, I am on crutches with a lot of mobility problems due to physical complications of pregnancy.  So very little crafting being done in this house, and most of what is being achieved is small and simple projects with a lot of hand work.

Mouthy stitches bag and fob received

I will have some baby makes to show you very soon - if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you will have seen some of what I've been working on - but in the meantime I want to post up some pics of the gorgeous bag I received from Kirsten in the Mouthy Stitches swap.

The bag arrived weeks ago and I absolutely adored it from the moment I opened the envelope - so much so that I started using it that day - and with all the other stuff going on, along with the fact that taking photos meant I had to empty my stuff out of it, I didn't get an opportunity to take the photos till recently.

Kirsten had made a fab sewing machine cover for me in a previous round of the Solids swap so when I saw her name on the envelope I was really excited! And I wasn't disappointed - here it is in all its glory!

A granny square pieced front using gorgeous grey linen as the background:

And a pieced feather back.

She used fab lining with her cute little label on the inside, and this is easily a reversible tote bag.

They lovely key fob which you can see in the top picture matches the lining .

So I want to say a huge thank you to Kirsten! This bag is used pretty much every single day and I love it to bits. And I'm sorry for waiting so long to show it off.

That makes you not far off me - I'm due 28th dec with only 41/2 weeks left to go!! Can understand how uncomfortable you must be, though I am lucky to say that I've had a great pregnancy but only noticed the aches and pains start a few weeks ago - nearly there Sarah and a couple new blogger babies will be here. Good luck for the last few weeks and hope you find some relief once your babba puts in an appearance xxx

Kirsten came up with the goods - that's for sure! The tote and fob are gorgeous. Look after yourself Sarah and I really hope the next 6 weeks pass as easily and quickly as possible. x

Gorgeous bag. Kirsten always make fabulous things in the nicest of fabrics. But more importantly is that your baby is thriving, even if you are not. I had mobility problems with Helen but yours sound far worse. Best of luck and I hope the next six weeks are not too drawn out and horrible.

Fabulous swaps!
I have about six weeks left too and it's very frustrating. I had SPD in my last pregnancy so I totally empathise, it's agony.
Take it easy and relax as much as you can :)

You poor dear! I'm sorry that you've been so sore and uncomfortable. I think my pregnancy discomfort increased with each pregnancy, so that by this last time I was pretty darn sore by the end. I had my sweetie just over a week ago and I was just remarking to hubby about how much better I feel now that all that soreness is gone. Those last few weeks should pass quickly and you'll be feeling back to your normal self soon enough. Many hugs to you and prayers for a safe delivery!

God love you, it really sucks when you are held up, especially when it's not your first and you have 2 more to look after. Roll on due date :)

I'm still following you :-) I can understand you asking. I have a blog of my own, but I don't know if anyone follows it. I've just started it back up after a year long break. I had a rough pregnancy last year, but it didn't last long.
I'm so sorry your having a rough pregnancy. I have my fingers crossed for you.

I am glad to hear from you and to know the baby is fine and that you are managing through it all. Cooking babies is such an amazing act, it is surprising to me we can manage it at all, I hope all the pain and problems will be gone as soon as that beautiful baby is born.

Wendy said...

Oh no, sorry to hear the pregnancy isn't going well. I'm sure you'll forget all about it when the little beauty is born (can you tell I've never had kids!?)

How awful for you to be having so many problems. I'm glad it isn't affecting the baby.
Kirsten's bag looks like just the thing to cheer you up. Lovely choice of fabric and nice details.
Feel better. We're all still here wishing you well.
